Owen McCormick is a Senior Vice President and Assistant Director of Underwriting and Deputy Chief Credit Officer with R4 Capital based in the firm’s New York office. Owen and his team are responsible for the underwriting of equity transactions at R4 Capital and affordable debt transactions at R4 Capital Funding, the affordable housing debt subsidiary of R4 Capital. He has over 20 years of experience in Real Estate Finance, particularly in the credit analysis and asset management of affordable multifamily transactions. 

Prior to joining R4 Capital, Owen worked as a Vice President in the Affordable Multifamily Housing Group at Centerline Capital Group. During his tenure there, Owen worked within the Asset Management Group where he led a team responsible for the oversight of 200 LIHTC assets with over 25,000 units and representing investor equity in excess of $2.4 billion. Prior to his work in the Asset Management Group, Owen worked as an Underwriter where he analyzed, assessed, and mitigated transaction risk for equity investments on behalf of both the company and the company’s investor community. In more than two decades, Owen has successfully underwritten in excess of $4.25 billion of equity investments and more than $2.5 billion in debt transactions.  

Owen holds the Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Geneseo Honors College and a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance from New York University.
