Marc Schnitzer has been a champion of affordable housing and a LIHTC industry expert for more than 30 years. As R4 Capital’s Founder and President, Marc oversees the company’s day-to-day business, property acquisitions and the origination and structuring of institutional funds.

Before founding R4 Capital, Marc was President and CEO of Centerline Capital Group. Over two decades at that company and its predecessor companies, Marc’s teams raised and deployed $10 billion of investor equity in a portfolio of more than 1,400 affordable housing properties nationwide. In related businesses that included multifamily mortgage banking and tax-exempt affordable housing mortgage bonds, he was responsible for portfolios of more than $7 billion and $2.8 billion, respectively.

Marc is a frequent speaker at LIHTC industry conferences and a member of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition. He holds a BS in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the Boston University School of Management and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
