Ash Bhatia is a Senior Vice President, Director of Asset Management for Forward Housing based in Ashburn, Virginia. He has more than 25 years of combined experience in commercial real estate, affordable housing asset management, property valuation, structuring and performing due diligence for affordable housing real estate deals.

Prior to joining Forward Housing, Ash led a team of asset managers who oversaw a portfolio of non-stabilized affordable housing assets for a national Section 8 preservation developer. Previously, Ash led the asset management departments for several regionally focused non-profit affordable housing developers. Ash has also led two venture capital-funded start-ups focused on commercial real estate.

Ash sits on various Boards, including the Loudoun County Housing Advisory Board, which focuses on affordable housing within Loudoun County, Virginia.

Ash is a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) through NAHB, and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and an M.B.A from University of Maryland Global Campus. Additionally, Ash has an AHM (Assisted Multifamily Housing Manager) designation from Quadel Consulting & Training and the AMS (Asset Management Specialist) designation from Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM).
