Chris Schreck is a Vice President of R4 Capital based in the firm’s New York office. With nearly a decade of tax credit experience, Chris is responsible for the acquisition of affordable housing tax credit properties in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. He previously served in R4 Capital’s asset management department, where he oversaw a national portfolio of affordable housing investments and supported projects from closing through disposition.

Prior to joining R4 Capital in 2021, Chris was employed in the asset management division of an international financial services group where he supported a variety of investment strategies in a range of multifamily asset classes. These lines of business included LIHTC, workforce housing, and special servicing for a government-sponsored enterprise. While there, he had a number of responsibilities though primarily focused on operational oversight, reporting, and valuation.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Iowa State University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Columbia Business School, with an expected graduation date of May 2027. Additionally, he received a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation in 2021 and a Novogradac Property Compliance Certification (NPCC) designation in 2022.
