Brian Halter is an Executive Vice President, Assistant Director of Asset Management of R4 Capital in the firm’s Boston office. He has more than 16 years of experience managing both debt and equity real estate investments with a focus on transformative affordable housing developments.
Prior to R4 Capital, Brian was a Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager at a multinational investment bank where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of debt investments in affordable housing from construction through stabilization ($300 million of construction debt exposure with project costs exceeding $650 million) while also acting as the leader of a team of seven portfolio managers. Prior to that, Brian served as a Team Leader, Senior Asset Manager at a national LIHTC syndicator firm where he managed a team of three asset managers overseeing equity investments in affordable housing. The portfolio consisted of 100+ properties with 7,000+ units and total invested equity of $650 million.
Brian holds a B.S. in Finance from Bentley University and a master’s in real estate from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University.
