Tara Nussbaum Executive Vice President, R4 Capital Funding

Tara Nussbaum is an Executive Vice President of R4 Capital Funding. Since its establishment in 2016, Ms. Nussbaum has led R4CF’s Investor Relations and Fund Management activities, raising over $3 billion of institutional capital for investment in tax-exempt debt through direct placement and multi-investor fund offerings.

Ms. Nussbaum has more than 20 years of affordable multifamily housing lending, investment, and capital markets experience. From 2009 through 2013, Ms. Nussbaum served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for MuniMae / MMA Financial, where she was responsible for capital markets activities for a $2 billion portfolio of tax-exempt mortgage revenue and infrastructure bonds. Ms. Nussbaum has executed securitization facilities and credit derivatives ranging in size from $5 million to $1 billion through major commercial and investment banks, mortgage bond insurers, and the GSEs. Ms. Nussbaum has also served in the public sector as a Senior Development Officer with the City of San José Housing Department, where she was responsible for tax-exempt bond issuance, second mortgage loan origination, and second mortgage loan modification.

Ms. Nussbaum holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University. She is a member of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition’s Marketing & Communications Committee and ESG Working Group.
