Jason Gershwin, Managing Director and Director of Fund Management at R4 Capital, leads the tax-credit fund origination and management team responsible for investor relations and the structuring, marketing and oversight of R4 tax-credit fund offerings. Since joining R4 at the company’s inception in 2011, Jason has helped raise, deploy, and manage more than $5.9 billion of LIHTC equity from and on behalf of the firm’s 127 institutional investors.

Prior to joining R4 Capital, Mr. Gershwin served as Vice President and General Counsel at Alternative Capital Partners, a boutique financial services and advisory firm primarily focused on tax-advantaged and opportunistic investment opportunities in the affordable housing industry. While at ACP, Mr. Gershwin led the restructuring of a bankrupt LIHTC developer and worked on raising LIHTC equity for several high-profile projects. Previously, he was a Vice President of Westminster Communities, where he directed in excess of $1.5 billion of real estate development and construction, including mixed-use urban redevelopments, townhomes, condominiums, single family homes and active adult communities. Mr. Gershwin began his career as an Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in the firm’s Private Equity Group. He serves as Chairman of the Annual Golden Golf Classic to benefit Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America. He received his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his BBA, magna cum laude, from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
