Alex Magliozzi President, Forward Housing

Alex Magliozzi is President of Forward Housing, based in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Magliozzi and the Forward Housing team acquire, rehabilitate, and manage affordable housing properties throughout the United States.

Mr. Magliozzi joined R4 in 2011 and spent nine years on R4’s Acquisitions team, closing more than 100 transactions, representing over 15,000 total units and nearly $1 billion of investor equity. Previously, he worked as a tax credit and development advisor at Affirmative Investments in Boston, and on the development and marketing teams at Beacon Communities in Boston and Sloss Real Estate in Birmingham, Alabama.

He holds a BA degree from Wesleyan University and master’s degrees in both Real Estate Development and Urban Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he focused on affordable housing development and finance.

Mr. Magliozzi is a frequent guest lecturer at MIT on matters of affordable housing finance.
